A wipe makes it fair to everyone for launch. If that bothers you then stick to Roblox.
- you can get a beta key by buying the game.
- if you start 1 day after launch you are also behind.
- game is still buy to play after launch.
there is 100% no reason at all to wipe the game after launch as long as its clean servers at beta and not alpha servers getting turned into beta servers to save money.
MMORPG's are always at their best/most fun when everyone starts equal at a launch.
That being said, you're not here to have your mind changed. Saying ''i'd like to be there from the start so I won't play after wipe'' even though there is a wipe and you're literally there from the start.. is a really weird logical jump.
Not quite. We're getting less content, things are changed, translations, etc. We have a different monitization so that had to be removed as well and/or changed. They have to lock away content. Or do you think they magically have an older version ready to go?
With changes come bugs. It's also most likely a server stress test, checking how many interest there is so they can gauge how many servers they need. There's plenty of reasons to do this.
its finished since 2019.
gameforge are not devs, they are just a company that buy games from devs and then host them and make profit of other peoples work.
no single person at gameforge knows how to code something.
Do you really think that if a glitch is found, it will be found and reported by players in those few days, forwarded by the publisher to the devs in China, who will develop a patch and then apply it before the game is released? Apart from that, the game has already been running in China for years, what kind of glitches and bugs are supposed to occur, please? It is the same game, only the language has been adapted.
and i am here because i want an answer.
I myself would probably love games like Final Fantasy 14. But I'm way too late to that party. I don't really like learning and discovering things about a game long after the majority of an audience has come and went. The meta is usually too well established at that point. I personally get a large sense of joy when I'm one of the few on a server who first figures out a cheesey strategy against a boss (that later gets patched out), or being one of the first to reach the level cap. Nothing quite like that feeling of trailblazing.
So, what is there not to understand about it.
It's to ensure a equal playing field and to push out the final updates to the game be it localization or bug fixes and yes these do get reported and fixed prior to launch. They are likely found in Alpha, stay there for Beta and then fixed prior to release. There's different builds for a reason.
apart from that, the few days don't make a difference. it might look different after years. but basically, the later you start, even if it's only a few days after launch, you're always behind in one way or another. that's not an argument to wipe for me.
In SOLO's case. It very clearly is going through a CBT right now with it's CBT keys.
with real betas, so if the game is still in development, I can understand that from a technical point of view without explanation, but SOLO is no longer in development and a wipe is necessary because exactly why?
I've already literally told you why, you're just ignoring it. The last part of my post addresses that there are changes to be made. It's not as simple as putting in new english text and it's done. If you refuse to accept that then there isn't anything I can tell you that you'll deem as an acceptable answer. There's more to it than simply changing language and nothing else.
