How Immersed are you?

So I am not someone who easily gets immersed in video games unless they are athmospheric and try to let the player delve deep into the character they play from a gameplay perspective. This is exactly what this game has done for me but to a degree I was not really expecting when I started out.

See, I have a fear of heights. I dont do well with that stuff. It combines with a fear of flying in airplanes for probably more than obvious reasons. In gaming this has never been an issue for me. In gaming, I was safe. In gaming I didnt have to fear the heights as I didnt have to fear death.

And yet despite this game featuring a pretty "press F to reset" button (its T but saying F felt funnier) and even death only resetting you to the last save point you could get to, this game has managed to instill a fear in me that I only felt IRL thus far. I HATE looking down in this game. Generally speaking I have to, just to be able to check where to go every now and then, this does work to an extent.

But now I come to points where the entire structure of the level makes you go up and down and up and down, featuring slides and slopes and wall climbs galore and each and every time I approach a ledge even just slightly, even if I can save myself from an accidental slide off, I genuinely feel terrified.

You would think this makes me stop playing. You really would. I aint.

- Dev. Not only have you made a world similar to my own unpublished stories featuring a tower of the non traditional kind but you also made me go full immersion with a character and a world that it makes me forget that I am not apart of it.

I have but one question for you: How the Fu** did you do that xD
