#1 Eat the card from the printing shop to expand your pet's inventory

#2 Acquire and upgrade a drone

#3 Eat the card to equip two drones, repeat #2.

There's no backpack upgrade like other games. You can upgrade your pet's inventory, or use your drones as inventory which can give you more than 3 bars worth of space.
