dark and white wood?? where is it

I am new to the game but have managed to move along...I can't find the white and dark wood trees...every white tree and other wierd tree says "I shouldn't do it" cut it...?? what am I missing-I went to Dawns side and don't see any different type of trees except for the dream tree....help please

You should use pixies to harvest them from the sacred trees.
The White one is on the area South of the broken Pixie Shrine.
The Dark one is besides Dawn's shop.
And yeah, you shouldn't cut down sacred trees.
