Unlocking the Silver chest

I've gotten two chests now but I have not figured out how to get the silver key to unlock them. What am I missing?

I got them randomly from the dungeons but yes you can buy it from Cid..
In fact I got the keys long before the chests and couldn't use them and they took up space in my chests LOL

Master key from museum rewards is 2 credits and very handy for chests and community gate. Also unbreakable.

Don't recommend opening with the master key. I got some really garbage stuff (like one piece of wood) using it on my silver chest, because the stats on the key seem to be completely random and rng. If you use a silver key on a wooden chest you'll get silver tier stuff despite the chest being wood tier as it follows the key.

Does Cid always restock? I noticed that one place where I got a community key for a blue ticket didn't restock

You can also fish silver keys rarely too.

According to the online stuff. It restocks once per year.

I got opposite and got wood or stone using silver key. The rng in this game is what’s garbage. It needs to get balanced out like the random low crap you get with the stoned eggs on extremely rare etc.

All colored tickets restock once per year, can confirm.
