How do you get rubies? More precisely, is there a consistent way to do so?

Randomly obtain by breaking odd stones.
Rare rate, I needed hundreds to get the rubies. Use pixies (preferable rainbow ones) on the stones at each town's mine to collect these odd stones.
Late in Game, you can get a Stone crusher that can speed breaking these up, I recommend two, each blocking your movement up and left/right, so you can break through them fast.

I had to break 1k+ ore eggs to get them, very rare drop rate with currently no way to combine gems we have into one.

I didn’t need to make 2 of the late game stone crusher machine to stop movement, just stand facing north and it will essentially just autoloot into your character.

Best way is to get 6 sapphires or emeralds from the stones, they have a higher rate than rubies. In morning place the 6 in alchemy machine then use an ether crystal on it. Boom. Done. 15 rubies. If you don't get rubies then task manager out and start day over.
