All pigeons know how to fly (strange odds)

I honestly don't know if it's a bug, but i spent ingame half winter and all spring looking for pigeon that forgot how to fly, and there was none. I met about 3-4 pigeon groups per day, >100 in total, all of them flew away (double checked with a bug net).
I dunno, maybe it's ok for pigeons to remember how to fly in spring? (lol) Cause the first time i caught pigeon after that period was on Summer 2nd. Or maybe i'm just unlucky, but the odds feel kinda weird.

Same thing with striped cowrie - second year, checking both beaches every day, found almost every type of shells, except for few rare ones, still never found a single striped cowrie. Doing a lot of fishing too, in case it's fishing only shell, but nope. Seems like no one else has a problem with it, and maybe i'm just unlucky to never encounter one - but since it's needed for Ink crafting and quests, it feels like it should appear more often.

I am also on the hunt for the striped cowrie. I have visited both beaches every day for a whole year, plucking every shell, no striped cowrie. What are the odds of the less common shells washing up?

If you still need it, i finally got striped cowrie! FISHED it actually on the north beach (right were fishery is).

You can also place many machines which extract shells etc from sand (dont know the name).
I got the striped cowrie from this machines

I have 5 machines running, but they never gave me striped cowrie ( I even thought it could only be fished because of this.

Might be bad luck then. Try a few more (i got 15) and got it after 4-6 days :) dont give up

Hersha sometimes offers pigeons as prizes for her meal service quest
(idk why)

It's definitely a strange RNG, because I found loads at one point and after an update (which seemed to affect bugs spawning too) It's a crazy rare event to find one.
