And follow this link afterwards where I describe where you could get unordinary stones daily:

But what should be happening is you should already have a delicate tapper by this time.
Did you complete the Tapping Kit quest from Tobias? If so, when you bring Tobias a Maple Syrup, he will give you a Delicate Tapper, which you can use to easily get this quest item.
This quest line may be unintuitive and may not happen the way I was planning it to, so I will revisit this and make the process a lot simpler.
Thanks a lot!
It's incredibly unintuitive how the quests link up like that. After the fact it makes sense and it works well to push progression along, but I was grinding malachite in the first dungeon to make the tapper while I was still generating the maple syrup. The whole sequence can end up being a season+ of waiting with no clear direction how to move things along.
I also agree with this feedback, it has been my experience with some of the quests. I’m still enjoying the game A LOT, I really love it, but I’ve gotten “stuck” a few times because the solution was unintuitive or the quest narrative just hadn’t played all the way out yet.
And also, the grinding takes a looooonggg time and requires resources that aren’t abundant.
