Bug? can't take frog out of public critter terrarium at the museum

I put a tadpole into the public critter terrarium and it grew into a frog, but I can't take it out (tried left and right click with an empty slot, use fishing rod, bug net). The frog has a blue exclamation mark on its head.

Ok, I figured it out, by pressing C. What about how to get Black bricks?
I'm enjoying the demo so far and am looking forward to the game coming out on June 20.

It's just press the Cancel/pick up button.
