CONTROLLER SUPPORT BROKEN?

NONE of my 4 different controllers work. Switch Pro, PS4, PS5, and even an Xbox controller all have no controller recognition. So there is a big problem here.

My controller works fine, and it's ironic cause I have the most jank setup ever. I have a Wii U Pro Controller, that I have a program to translate the inputs into an Xbox 360 controller. not 100% sure what is the problem for you guys, but it appears that controllers not working is a very widespread issue

have you enabled support for those controllers in big picture mode first?

edit: ps5 controller working just fine with for me

No plug n play ctrler support and no rebindable keys? If true, that's a big no-no.

go to settings at the top left of steam window. go to controllers, navigate to the big picture settings, and turn on playstation configure support

It's not the best but you can rebind keys when selecting your character. Similar to Smash.

Use Steam Input for controller support. Go to Steam Settings-> Controller-> General Controller Settings and make sure support is enabled for your controller and that your controller gets listed at the bottom.

After that you can right-click the game in Steam, Manage-> Controller configuration. From there you can rebind the controls as needed for whatever controller you're using so that it lines up with Xbox controls, if Steam hasn't mapped it to Xbox controls already.

After that you can launch the game and during the character select screen you can press X(or your controller's equivalent) to reconfigure the fight controls to your preference.

It recognizes my Wii U Gamecube Controller Adapter and Gamecube controller perfectly, which is nice. It even displays Gamecube controller buttons in the UI, which isn't something I'm used to seeing.

tbf a lot of these "remasters" are failing at delivering a good updated game. Like they just polish graphics then dump the game on steam and price it like its the latest greatest game. Party Blast on OG xbox is better
