Beacons do not pop up when going through 'the wall'

I am at the level where you are suspended in mid-air on a square stone platform with stairs going up, stairs going down, a wooden door and a 'wall' door. When you go up the stairs, a new platform materializes, and four beacons pop up with green lights. etc. I managed to get the beacons with all colours, except the purple ones. Whenever I go through the 'wall' door the beacons for the purple lights do not pop up, so I can't get the fourth colour. and am stuck in the game. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried falling off the platform?
