I actually envy you, seriously. It's not that I hate it at all.
It's that a certain OP, referred to it as sounding something like a very flatulent dog.
After reading that, then playing I remembered the comment. I died and got lost due to
laughing. Because, in a way it does sound a bit like said flatulent dog.
Good thing is, I have a great therapist although she is expensive. But worth it, as now I can play without death due to laughter.
In all honesty, such things don't really seem that important to me, but they can be very funny.
[Old Shadow Gun Sound Restored!!! A Mod For @Limygeorge @ZERO and really anyone who want's the "classic" shadow gun sound back]
here's a quick link to the mod folder In case you know how to do it ,but the thread does have instruction's for it if you don't
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mQLFg7qLf41hc7t81nM9Dp6TBpEWI2Qd?usp=sharing
though I haven't tried yet for the meter so don't get too hyped
Here You Guy's (and anyone Else Who want's it) go
I also Just made a mod to Restore The "mirrored" N64 Shadow Meter for Old and New Texture's
1 Back Up ShadowManEX01
2 Rename ShadowManEX01.kpf to ShadowManEX01.rar
3 if you want reverse HD rename the Linked file ShadHD to just shad
4 drag and drop in hdtextures/panel/shad
If you want "classic" Reversed Shadow Meter
1 follow the first 2 step's that you would do for HD being Backup ShadowManEX01 and rename ShadowManEX01.kpf to ShadowManEX01.rar
2 Do NOT Select hdtextures folder Go to "normal" Panel instead (in the big List at the beginning of the rar
3 Replace shad
4 Rename ShadowManEX01.rar back to ShadowManEX01.kpf
5 note
Same as with the sound's it will say when loading a save its a "older version of the game so save's will not work" again they will it's no different than when night dive release's a patch
And That's it for now at least
Heres the link

Thanks for this, Lord of Mania!!
I haven't played shadowman for quite a while now as other games hooked me. E.G doing Halo 3 yet again.
But I WILL continue and finish Shadowman. In the Asylum now if memory serves.
Anyhow, it was good of you to make them, and the instructions are clear. I'll check em out, even though I am now used to the remaster shadow gun sound. It will probably have a bigger impact than I think because 20 years passed between playing Dreamcast version, and now this remaster. I reckon it will trigger nostalgia as sound is so important.
The one question, or reassurance really is after using them, is it fairly straight forward to go back to the regular latest Shadowman vs. 1.31, without any downside should I choose to uninstall them at a later date?
Silly question I know, but Just being a bit overly cautious probably. I used to use a lot. (Skyrim six months or so after release had incredible visual improvements only by using a fair few mods that work well together - never a single issue and huge visual impact.)
But I haven't used mods for around three years now. Just use ini/config tweaks for games where that is possible.
Anyhow all the last three paragraphs are kind of overly cautious, and show how rusty I am now a days re: modding. Just wanted extra piece of mind. I don't doubt your work at all. Please don't think that. It's just me being out of the mod scene for a long time.
Glad you shared them on google drive - way to go!!
Thanks again for your work and sharing!
Like Skyrim it Just has the Extra step of replacing kpf to rar and then back to kpf
If you want the Old 1.31 Files Back Just take Backup ShadowManEX00 Whatever file you made from step 1 and move it Over the one you edited the one in the Shadow man Remaster install folder
If Night Dive Ever Release's 1.4 they might Mess with the mod's because they essentially make you download specific EX00 File's that would need to be edited for the new content
Just download the Mod and/or replace again if that Happen's, and it should work
But I appreciate you giving me the re-assurance. It's good to know they are now available thanks to you.
And yes, anyone who reads this and thinks I am being all OCD about mods - I guess you are right. I blame it on age and a memory like a sieve. Ha! My brain, and a few other parts sadly are just starting to show minor wear and tare (or is it tear) I am 53 now. Oh crap, what will it be like in 10 years or so time when I retire and gaming/Computer tech become a full time hobby. That's absolutely my plan.
Cheers!
Cheers
I welcome the change.
