Question about mastering all magamatmas

I want to platinum the game and i'm getting prepared for mastering all magatamas. But is it necessary to do a NG+ to do this? or i can do it in my first play?
i know there is a last magatama that you can get after getting all other 24, is it related with finishing the labyrinth of Amala?

NG+ is not required However, you have to have one of the DLC (either Chronicles ( Raidou/free ) or Maniax ( Dante from DMC/paid )) installed and Start with one of them at the beginning of the game.

As you may know, the achievement requirements include obtaining "Pierce" skill. However, Pierce/Labyrinth of Amala does not exist in the Base game.

Pierce will stay locked and will not unlocked unless you beat the Fifth Kalpa in the Labyrinth of Amala. So this means the Pierce is a DLC exclusive skill.

Yeah, i already have Raidou in my team, he's op af lmao.
I have a last question now. Since you said i need to clear last kalpa to unlock pierce skill, that means i have to go for the true demon ending, but there is also a magatama that i have to buy inside the kagatsuchi tower, if i buy this magatama in kagatsuchi tower, will i be able to clear 5th kalpa and unlock pierce skill? since people say entering kagatsuchi tower blocks you from getting true demon ending and won't be able to visit kalpa anymore

Yep. The Amara End (true demon ending) can be seen by reaching the deepest part of the Amara Abyss before entering Kagu-tsuchi Tower.

IN OTHER WORDS, After the certain event at kalpa, the skill "Pierce" will be added to the skills tree by the "Marogare". Also, at this point, the ending will be set to unconditionally "Amara Abyss End". Then you can go to the Kagu-tsuchi Tower, but not vice verce(I mean, you won't be able to meet Old-man any more if you enter the tower before get tha Pierce). Good luck.
