Steam Deck Verified
So I bought this game even though it was stated as unsupported. I ran it using Proton Experimental yesterday and it worked perfectly fine. I was going to make a post today about it working under experimental but I got home, loaded up my deck and I saw that it was Steam Deck verified. I am excited to get into this as I've been looking on getting into the SMT games.

I hope those that are interested in this like me will now give it a go since it's been verified.

you don't need proton, just run it as normal it will run perfectly fine .

Of course you need Proton to play SMT3 on SteamDeck... But it has just been verified so no need to tinker the Proton version anymore.

Yeah I'm aware of that, but before purchasing I read posts from a few months ago that it ran under Experimental and another user reporting they weren't having any luck. So I initially was going to make a post that it is working under experimental, but then saw that it is now listed as Steam Deck Verified.

So as Sir Dindon stated, there's no need to tinker on the Steam Deck anymore,

I had the same experience; was playing under experimental, just saw it got verified. Changed back to default proton and it runs fine.

Steam cloud suddenly doesn't seem to work after switching though, is anyone else seeing this? Turns out I was maybe just being impatient? I relaunched on the steam deck, then closed the game. The save then synced fine.

That user was probably me. i tried months back to play the game on the deck and no matter what proton i used i could not play the game in a reliable state.
haven't test it out again as of now but seeing the verified tag now i may just reinstall and see if the game now works.
