Worth getting 50% off on PC?

Im a new fan of the SMT games and really want to play some of the older games, but the reviews say it is a shoddy port. Would I be better off trying to get the game elsewhere or is the PC port "good enough"?

You can play for free on the PS2 emulator, which has everything already there, while on here you'd have to pay for DLC. The only thing you'll be missing out on is voice overs.

I would say at 50% its worth it, but its up to you if you dont care about Roms or not.

Worth it for sure. It runs like absolute trash, but SMT games are solid. Plus, I'm crossing my fingers that if enough people buy this they'll release SMT4 on Steam.

How bad does it run? I never played the game on PS2 so I wouldn't know.

It's pretty frustrating for sure. I believe it runs at 30 FPS, so if you can get used to it it's not a big deal. From what I played I just remember the game feeling like it was in .5 speed the hole time, but that's just how the gameplay is no matter what platform you play on.

I think the game runs fine. It runs better on pc than it did on the switch. Definitely better then the ps2. The half off price is a bargain.

its a turn based game so not ideal but 30 fps is tolerable

game run fine if you have a decent PC, got mine yesterday and run smooth as hot knife on butter... if 30 fps bother you, you either were born the other days or don't have a trained eye for old school FPS

Decent PC? The game runs like hot garbage. Sorry man, but lets not try to turn this into a "If you have a decent PC" thread.

I'm speaking for my own experience, game run perfectly fine on my end regardless of your opinion, I have seen worse and I know trash FPS. game is just fine. could it be better? yes but it doesn't feel broken...so far also no way mine is running at 0.5 speed no way

PS: also regardless of what you think the equipment do matter even if you are playing Tetris.

for tetris those blocks fall REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FAST so i could see an argument for better FPS there

not a crazy good one but i can still see it blowing my mind

I run a 3080 desktop and a 2060TI laptop.... so no, the game running like trash for me isn't me equipment. Many people have pointed out that it basically runs in 0.5 mode. It's an awesome game, so how exactly can you justify the mediocre Steam reviews?

Actually the Steam reviews are Very Positive for most recent and all around. It's an older game and sometimes it's hard to go backwards once you've played the streamlined newer games. Disgaea one is really hard to go back to. Persona one as well. I so want to play Persona 1 and 2, but I can only last so long. Lol. Even Persona 3 to 4 is a huge difference. The reviews I've read that don't like it is mostly the lack of streamlined polish and the drier story. And the costume of the main character, which I agree, I wish he had pants and a shirt, some sort of costume change would be nice. That's not enough to ruin the game for me though.

The game is what it is, you're playing an almost 20 year old port. I'm happy I can play it on my computer.

The game runs great on my computer, no slowness, no choppy, no lag. It runs and looks great. I played it on the PS2 and then on the Switch. This is a huge improvement over those.

I will continue playing the game since I bough the game 2 days ago maybe it will get worse or something but I swear my fps is always at 32FPS and the speed is always at 1.0 never at 0.5 so I dunno (maybe you play it an older version and it got patched?), I do agree this game is freaking awesome why I didn't play this sooner.
