Why is this game ripping off persona? /srs

First off lemme just say before the trolls come in that yes, i only played Persona 5. But that doesn't matter because this game looks like persona and it even has a lot of persona's in it. I don't know if it's a cross promotion or if it's just a blatant rip off but it just feels scummy either way

Persona series is a Spin-off series of this, Shin Megami Tensei. The personas characters equip and use in persona are the same.

Dude Persona is only spin-off SMT (and even not the best, especially Persona 5). SMT is reboot of Megami Tensei NES games from 1987 and 1990.

I honestly agree. I can't believe they just did a crappy rip off of Persona. Persona 4 was my favourite and we won't even get Chie in this game so it's instantly a terrible game and not even doing a good job of ripping off Persona.

People will buy anything if it looks like Persona. It's sad.

Persona is a spin-off from Atlus' Megami Tensei franchise. The first entry in the series, Revelations: Persona, was released in 1996 for the PlayStation. The series has seen several more games since, with the most recent main entry being 2019's Persona 5 Royal.

Persona began as a spin-off based on the positively-received high school setting of Shin Megami Tensei If... (1994).
