How about you make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and see how easy it is then? I swear the number of people who think game dev is SOOOOOO EASSSSYYYYYY
Your opinion comes a dime a dozen. You're not original and admitting to pirating the game makes you a pathetic ♥♥♥♥. Grow up.
It is easy thanks to Unity and store bought assets. Any idiot can crap out a game now if you look at new releases on Steam. To make a good game is obviously a different story and my point still stands: make a fully complete 8 hour-ish experience, release a fully complete game, and then add content.
Bait masterclass over here
Hit da bricks.
And those were free. Hence, SHAREware. Try again, Redditor.
dont buy the early access game brokie, else you wont have enough for rent this month
The game is priced according to its content and polish. The game had a demo before... so you can call that the comparison to shareware if you want. You are paying 10 dollars now for a game that will increase in price over time (kind of like... expansions) except you don't have to pay for the new content once it comes out.
It's a win-win for the consumer. Watch a gameplay video, read a review, then buy based off of whether you think the game has good content and polish. New Blood's developers have a good reputation of keeping up the quality with successive updates, so I don't see any reason to be complaining about this.
Would you rather:
Pay 10 dollars for episodic releases that are polished and get the full game in a few years for free
OR
Pay 30 dollars for a full game when it finally releases in a few years
This argument is nonsensical. You are complaining about the devs giving you a boon. They are handing you the appetizer and you are asking for the full course in one meal, when you could pay for just the appetizer and get the full course for the same price later.
Patience.
