I can't get a straight answer as to what genre this game actually is, which is leading me to conclude it is simply an elaborate meme game, using the soyface and AI art as a viral marketing technique.

It's really sus. Dozens of videos about this game keep popping up in my recommended, all using the first screenshot featured on the store page. Perhaps even more sus is the fact that most of the other screenshots on the store page are just shots of the environment rather than gameplay. And on top of all that, it's early access.

So is this game actually legit or is it just a money laundering scheme? Thx for replies

Because u gave a thumbs down to F.E.A.R , and you use slang like "sus" , so zoomer shooter like this one might be good choice for you
I play F.E.A.R a few days also , and i like that game very much , but Fallen Aces i hated
I dont know if u are joking or not about money laundering , but there is a lot of money laundered games out there, A LOT. It is possible its involved here too, but hard to tell with this publisher

Dev here. It's a real game. The reason you are probably seeing it pop up everywhere is because the game is doing well and people like it. The in-game art isn't made with AI, it's all drawn by me. Game good, dunno what else to tell ya.

As for the genre, it's a first person brawler with light immersive sim elements. Which means it has open ended game-play in which you can tackle the maps and objectives a few different ways.
