I already tried to translate this game into german. But one single word destroyed most of the text ingame. Devs: If you need some help, say something.

Did you use any 'non-English' alphabet or character? Because I'm probably also having the same issue with Korean characters. I think the csv files are encoded in ANSI, which might be the source of this problem.

No, i just changed a string to "test" and it did not work.

Hi! We are looking into the best way to handle translation stuff right now. FWIW, the game can handle UTF8 character sets and ANY language! I'll post back soon about how we handle it, but there is now a proper language translation guide here:

Yeah, my bad... Excel seems to mess up encoding when it saves csv files. I simply had to convert them to UTF-8 with Notepad++.

I am doing the Spanish translation and I have a problem with the Spanish tilde in some csv files, in others however it works fine.

I suppose the encoding of your files is somehow messed up. Try to convert the encoding to UTF-8; You can easily do that with Notepad++.
