Search for Dan's room bug

I'm currently doing the search for Dana's room, and have found all the photos, and got the achievement and found that the room faces north. I've also inspected the bed, and found out that the room with the hole in the floor isn't Dana's room. I've also found the bricked up wall near the top of the stairs My understanding (according to a walk through) is that now I'm supposed to go outside and complete the search there, and climb the ladder.

However, I've run into a bug, since Oscar keeps telling me that I haven't done everything inside before leaving, so I'm stuck inside and can't go outside to complete the search. Now, I've run into a situation where I can't continue. If I use the hint button, Oscar mentions the photo that I've already found.

I honestly can't see what I've missed, and if anyone could help, that would be great.

It's frustrating that there's only one save for the game, and no option to go back to an earlier point in the game.

OK, I found out what I was doing wrong. Although I had gotten the achievement for finding the four photos, I had failed to find one clue in the most important photograph, other than the fact that the room faced north. Once I found the second clue, the issue was resolved and I was able to exit the building.

Thank you very much for this hint, i was stuck at that same point and had no clue how to continue the game.
