This game involves some of the same characters from the previous games and it starts after the events of the first three have taken place. A lot of the character moments and some of the scenes mean a lot more after having played the previous games. There is a brief summary of the previous games included, so it is possible to go right into this one. But I think this game becomes a much richer experience having played the previous ones.
