can someone explain to me why the fox family is in the prologue when they are never seen or heard of again. they are even in the store page screenshots so I thought they had a bigger role

It`s japanese dogs. Yoshi and his family. David betrayed him Yoshi transform to monster and try kill him. Yoshi in the hall with carrot . Carrot prepare him for sacrifice for open portal.
