Apex Crashes on Start

After 56 hrs of game play, I now get the Apex Crash Handler "We're sorry, something went wrong :( " message. After trying everything I can think of, I reset my PC and re-installed Steam and The Angler. No change. This is very frustrating! Can someone please help?

Try updating your PC, graphics card etc etc etc.

I have every update available for my PC. The graphics card says it has the latest driver. Not to say that I know everything, but I’ve been doing IT work for 26 years. I think I’ve checked all the basics. But I do appreciate your response. Thank you! I am wondering about directx. I have version 12.

Sorry for you, I don't see what you can do yet.
Try to get in touch with the DEVS on DISCORD because on this forum we hardly see them and they don't always respond to requests for help (which I think is not normal after all because the game is not not free). Good luck

I am in the exact same boat. I have been trying to get my game to not crash ever since the patch that added fish. Its the ONLY game I play.

I have the same problem, just bought the game and i cannot play it because it crashes every time during startup. i have send multiple reports about the crash. I have tried the proposed workarounds but without any luck. Do you have any update regarding when a fix will be provided? i am seriously thinking to request refund if i don't have an update on the next couple of days.

just a thought did anyone check there anti virus to see if it may be blocking something game related? also maybe try disabling the cloud or steam overlay and see if it works after. These are the things that i can think to try if you haven't already.

The game should be using dx11 but if the game worked before the patch i don't think it would be that.

Do you use custom settings for your card (Nvidia control panel, etc) in a separate program if so you can save them and change it to the default and see if that works.

Just some ideas that you may have missed.

It's a pretty random and intermittent issue. Also get the "offline" message in the top right corner while in-game. Comes and goes. Who knows what is going on inside the web to spoil the fun.
