Where did my lily pads go??? (very weird issue)

Ever since patch 1.5.5 just about ALL lily pads have disappeared from my maps, and I have no idea how to get them back. It's bizarre.

When 1.5.5 dropped, I went to play as usual (didn't touch my graphics settings at all), and noticed the lily pads on all maps were suddenly gone. Friends I was playing with could still see theirs, so it was clear it was just me.

Made sure my Nvidia drivers are up to date (which they were), I've tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling, validating files many times, changing all graphical settings back and forth and then resetting them, etc., but nothing is working.

The lakes look pretty lame and empty without lily pads, so I'd really appreciate a fix for this if the devs (or anyone) has any ideas. Getting a bit frustrating at this point.

I've posted this issue on their Discord. I have the exact same problem - Have you noticed your game has less plants/flowers in it also?

Crazy. It's not just me, then, lol. As for plants and flowers, I believe so, yes. Looks like it.

Question - are you both using a 1080 Nvidia graphics card?

March 25th and my ♥♥♥♥ still won’t show up. My buddies games looks beautiful. He has Lilly pads and flowers… I’m running a 1070 but how the ♥♥♥♥ do you take something out someone’s game but not the others ….. we will take the lil loads and flowers out of these people games and leave them on these people games…. Game was free on epic but still a great game just wish I could see pads so I know where to fish….

if u verify files then turn off multiplayer before you hit "play" the next time it'll fix itself... temporarily just to happen again once you play with your friends. And by play with your friends i mean try to join each others games for 15+ minutes trying to get your group together, just to not be able to see one another. Game is so bad.
