Bow Fishing
It Would Really Make The Game More Fun If The Devs Would Make a DLC Where We Can Do Bow Fishing From Land or Boat

Makes sense. After The Hunter games i can definitely see it being implemented.

They said it will be catch and release, so I doubt bow fishing is in the works.

And maybe using the mythical Oneida? I would buy this game immediately. I am suggesting this in the Ultimate Hunting discord.

Catch&Release vs Bow Fishing

What would the fish say to that?

Find the mistake! :steamhappy:

well i am laughing out loud whenever i read the term: "bow angler". They are just murderers. They kill everything without using their brain. Shoot at a fish and accidently hit an indangered species... its gone. Catch it with a rod and there is a very high possibility it´ll survive. Just recently read an atricele about a "bow angler" who killed the largest stingray ever caught. Well, these very old fish are very important for the population.

bow fishing in the usa is i think is almost only for non-game trash fish and harmful invasive species. every usa state laws differ. Some of the videos of the fishermen using sling slots in other countries seems they are taking game fish. i'd love to try the sling slot but i'm old and uncoordinated and i'd probably send the dart through my hand.
it kills the fish so bow fishing is NOT fishing .... its just for lame ass people who cant fish with a rod

so you dont think a hook ripping thru the fishes gills dont kill them? Almost all fishing types can kill the fish so just saying it kills them is not a good argument.

Thats why you use barbless hooks. And yes, there are species of fish out there who will for sure die if you damage the gills.

I don't understand the bit about the hook ripping through the gills? The fish bites by taking the hook into it's mouth not via it's gills! The vast majority of fish caught by rod and line are returned (if that is the plan), show me a fish that was returned after being impaled on an arrow...

Ouh yes! Also! I think the fishes should fire back and wear an armor!

Guess what, angling in the real world is considered to be not fun to most people. If you want to have fun than this is the wrong game for you.

Well if you set the hook a little to late or the fish is very hungry/greedie it may happen that you set the hook deep in its mouth and even penetrate he gills. Thats what he said. And there very sensitive species out there which will for sure die if you do this. Second: the aorta runns through the gills. And if its penetrated the fish may blood out. This is very sad but may happen.
