Not possible to join a friends game

I realy like fishing games but I hate to play them alone. I friend of mine and me are trying to play in the same lobby but the game never matches us. is there some kind of direct connect button or something of the sort?

We both have active Avalanche accounts but we dont see the other one in our friends list and seem to have problems accepting the other ones friend requests

Has anybody else those problems?

acc to the devs the game tries first to match a session with a friend and then with any user at the moment but there is no possibility to join a session directly with a friend from the list. However think they are aware of it and will rework it as well as the the chatfunction.

In the last live stream, the Game Director, Rushy said they are working on implementing new chat option to include an actual type chat instead of emotes. It won't be in the next couple of updates, but they are actively working on bringing that into the game.

Hey there, sorry to hear you're having problems trying to get online with your friend. Can you just confirm:

- You have an Apex Connect account (if ot you can create one in-game or on the website), it sounds like you do, but just wanted to double check.
- From the main menu, if you go to Apex Connect > Friends - you will then be greeted with a bunch of options.
- If you then 'Add Friends' to add your friend (add using their Apex Connect name)
- Once added you will see them in your Friends list
- If you click on their name you'll be given a bunch of options, one of which will be to 'Join Game' of that friend.
- The game should then matchmake you into their game

Let me know how it goes and if you have any further issues we can look into them for you.

Additional note: we're working on easier/better ways of playing with friends in future updates too, so expect improvements here soon, thanks.

Normaly I am technicaly able enough to find out how to connect with friends but this time I am at my ends.

Could it be a possibility this doesn't work because my friend and me started the game in closed beta via press keys?

are you including the #number? I found that was my issue when trying to add a friend. Just brainstorming ideas from the simplest potential problem to the hardest.

Ah ok, that could be the issue here then, th epress key issues. Ok, can you let me know your friends Apex Connect account name too please? We can look into it on the backend here and will hopefully be able to resolve it there.

no idead what just happend but it finaly worked. we managed to send each other invites exactly the way we did it multiple times bevor. I gues we were simply to stupid to pull it of.

Hey, is there any idea why my friend and I can't join each other after having eachother added?

One night my friend and I had the same problem, and we were frustrated because we knew it SHOULD be working. We eventually realized the fix (at least in our case) was simple: he had set his "Online" setting under multiplayer OFF, and he hadn't realized it. As soon as he turned it on we were good to go again.

In some instances this can be the simple fix.
