Hello, is it normal when I catch certain fish I don't earn credits?

Yes. You earn money based on "quarters of a level". For every 25% you get into your level, you get some money. You can see these level markers in your inventory.

Keep playing the game and stop complaining. It takes all but 30 hours to complete the game and you can start mass saving coin. I'm sitting with 40k and nothing left to buy at the moment.

I quite agree. Mainly the reason i havent bought the game: It's very unrewarding to fish and not actually gain anything from it. Makes it feel way less impactful when you get a big ass fish.
Secondly the broken fish animations, have they fixed those yet?

Hi , I'm new to the game and was also wondering why I am not getting any money for fish caught. So if I am understanding this right , you only get money 4 times per level ?

That is correct.

why do people wont to complete a game in 5 mins, take your time, walk around, have a coffee, with full fat milk, not this corn milk or semi skimmed stuff, I have been playing for less then a month, , got loads of fish, 2 diamonds, don't rush, but them sauger did get to me, took a long time to get one

Not what it's about. It feels unrewarding to not get rewarded for the fish, so to speak.

I understand where you're coming from, but you've been trained to think rewards only come one way, because that's how other games have done it. I don't know how much fishing you've done in real life, but I've never sold a fish I caught. Not even professional fishermen are paid per fish. They're paid by placing in competitions. I've also never gone out fishing, catching fish, thinking I need some more rewards. If I did that, I'd have completely lost the point of fishing in the first place. I fish because it's fun, relaxing, and I get a feeling of accomplishment landing good sized fish on small test line. I don't even like keeping fish usually, because it's a pain to clean them. I'd rather come home, take a shower and relax.

When you hook a fish, the game rewards you with varying levels of experience based on the skill you use to land them. Whether you're using an OP rod, OP reel and OP line to just drag them in with no struggle at all. Also, on the quality of the fish. So the more you challenge yourself, the more XP you gain, and it's possible to hit more than 1/4 of a level on a single fish. You can get 2, and double your money. You also have lots of challenges you can keep activated (daily and weekly), and missions you can complete for additional money and XP.

If you thought the point of the game was to buy the best stuff, you're not doing it right. Bigger doesn't mean better. I"m going to gain more experience fighting a Silver Largemouth Bass with a starter rod and 4lb test line, than you'll get with that $35,000 rod and reel combo you bought, that just drags the fish to you like it's not fighting at all. And I'm also going to have more fun doing it. If you're buying and using the highest dollar gear in the game, you're GUARANTEED having less fun, because you're not even fighting the fish anymore. You might as well be reeling in weeds and sticks.
