Can't link Apex account because already linked.

So I just got the game and tried making an Apex account to log in. It said I already had an Apex account linked to Steam. Remembered I had TheHunter. Go into Apex settings for TheHunter and I don't have any option to unlink. And I can't use the same account, for both games, or have more than one account on steam.

So this company doesn't allow me to play multiplayer on both of its games on steam, and miss out on legendaries for TheAngler?

So from searching it looks like my only option to play multiplayer on TheAngler that I just purchased, is to delete my Apex account so I can make a new one to link between steam and TheAngler?

Is it really that ridiculous or am I just dumb and missing some simple way to do this?

Sorry, was looking forward to playing my new game today, not waiting 24hrs for Apex to delete an account.

You shouldn't have to link your apex account (more than once) you should be able to just login. I have my apex account linked and am logged in on both the hunter and the angler.

Definitely shouldn't have needed to, but couldn't unlink my Apex account from theHunter, and couldn't log into theAngler with the same account. Kept getting the same error telling me that this steam account was already linked to an Apex account. Same error message whether trying to log into same account as theHunter was using, or creating a new one.

Wound up having to delete the Apex account that theHunter was using in order to even unlink it from anything. Was immediately able to log into Apex through theAngler with my newly created, never before linked Apex account.
