Are there any gold fish on the Japan map?

I can catch fish, but only bronze and silver fish, and I can't complete the “Scale Mail” mission or the mission to catch gold fish.

I have been able to catch fewer diamond fish in the past, but now I wonder if the makers have adjusted the game to reduce the amount of gold fish as well.

I took your advice and watched “Scale Mail Japan Main Mission Easy Guide Kamuibetsu Reserve - Call of the Wild: The Angler” by a guy named “Shark's Mouth” on Youtube. I followed your advice and used the video “Call of the Wild: The Angler” by a guy named “Shark's Mouth” on Youtube.

In this video, he uses white oats as bait and catches them with a hot dog.

The result was a gold fish, though I was surprised that it was an Amur Catfish and not a Northern Snakehead.

I knew that I could catch silver carp at that place by bottom fishing, so I thought I could catch gold carp sooner or later, but I was blind to the fact that I had to spread bait.

On a different note, there is a challenge where you have to catch all Japanese fish (bronze, silver, and gold), but in the challenge where the fishing location is specified, is it a bug that the location is not specified with a yellow square?

I just finished the crab challenge where the location is not specified.

Most of the catch a certain fish with a certain bait/lure are all non-specified locations so you can get them anywhere, which specific challenge are you running into an issue with it specifying a location? (i know Ayu sweetfish Gold is just bugged right now so cant complete)

It is written in my native language (Japanese) to do a fishing quest by specifying the fishing location.
Then I cooled down a bit and changed the language to English, then no location was specified, which means this was a mistake that happened during the translation to Japanese.

However, the problem of not being able to catch any gold-ranked fish, which was the title of the topic, has not been solved at all.
I have caught more than 100 Mozambique Tilapia and 50 Feral Koi and Magoi in the last 3 days and all of them are bronze and silver rank.

The manufacturer is making it too hard for the players at any cost.
