Transfer possible (Epic save to Steam) ?

I have already read posts on COTW that it was possible, so I bought the game on Steam to be able to platinum the game on my main platform and to buy the dlc on Steam (not on Epic games) and unfortunately I have not yet managed to transfer my saves. Each time, Steam tells me the data is corrupt, real crap for a game that uses Epic connect on both platforms.

So, I would like to know if there were people who would have found a solution to achieve this knowing that the direct transfer of saves from the Epic game save folder to the Steam numbered folder does not work (even by deactivating the cloud).

On the other hand, I managed ONLY ONCE with the cloud to recover the Epic game save keeping the game on Epic game installed. It had detected a save conflict, I took the one from Epic games and I had everything on my Steam profile (level, equipments).

I thought I had succeeded but when I uninstalled the game on Epic, I lost my levels and returned to my basic Steam save. I tell myself that by playing on the Epic version, there could again be a conflict so that he offers me the option again and to simply leave the two versions on the PC but that might be risky for my good cloud save, i don't know.

In any case, it annoys me because we should be able to recover our backup. I understand that we shouldn't be able to share them but using them on our own epic connect account should be simple.

Bumping this in hopes someone knows how to do it. I've seen posts explaining how to do it with theHunter, so I'm hopeful it's possible with The Angler as well.

COTW's method doesn't work for me. I bought it on Steam believing it would work but it says my saves are corrupted every time I try.

Such a shame. I want to buy DLC but don't want to give money to Epic. Their discounts aren't as great as Steam's either.
The Halloween sale begins in 4 days on Epic, so I guess I'll just suck it up and buy what I want then.

Still, although you unfortunately found no success, I'm hopeful that someone comes forward with a solution. Fingers crossed it happens before the next Epic sale. And if it doesn't, I hope I never find out later that it is possible.

Personally, I ended up buying the dlc on epic games to achieve the achievements and finish it 100% since I can't do it on Steam without having to start all over again.

Now, the game blocks me on 1 achievement because it didn't count the items I collected in Spain and now I simply can't complete it knowing that I collected all the items on the map. I had the same problem with the exploration of Golden Ridge which ended up validating itself.

That's really lame about the achievement. Hopefully that's something that can/will be addressed in an update.

I began playing 6 days ago, but even at 36% achievement progress I consider myself well beyond the point of no return. If I hadn't been so on-the-fence with this one I may have purchased it on Steam a long time ago, but as great as CotW is, these games are a janky, terribly-optimized mess that really have no excuse in 2024, so I had to play it for free first.
Now I'm stuck.

Personally, I started it when it was offered by epic games and I didn't think a fishing game would be so appealing to play.

Now, there are many things that were problematic and still are.

The Japan map is planned and yet, there are still many things to add and fix on the old maps. Not to mention the many crashes that come and go from one update to another

its about time the problems with all the maps are fixed they have had over 2 yrs to fix things but they dont, instead give us stupid cosmetic things like masks horse head etc,etc
instead of a new map fix all the other stuff in all the maps Fs2 did this and now their game is just about gone
they need to improve the float and bottom rigs, the game is too far towards lure fishing

For the sake of realization, the duration should be increased, yes. Now, the fish should not gather as quickly, it should take more time. Currently, it is too useful a tool to farm experience and money. Players therefore inevitably abuse it (salmon).
