Ruby River Range Photo Challenge 1 - finding location but photo not triggering

Needless to say, I'm stuck on this challenge. At the spot and no matter how I try (jumping, running sideways, doing figure 8s with the camera, looking around, looking up and down, teleporting out and back and starting it all over - I just can't complete this dumb part of the quest to proceed to the next step.

I've been trying for basically off and on since November. I'll spend like 15 or 20 minutes trying to do this one stupid thing and its so damn off-putting I just quit playing the game and will try again another day. I can't be the only one stuck on this.

I watched a video on YT and the guy was running away from it and the damn thing completed. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated at that.

A question icon should appear with the distance you need to freeze and aim at it should work. I had problems too, but I passed

Thanks for the reply. I have it and I've put it in the center.

I think I'll just give up on this map and go to Norway or something.

Thank you for this tip! I had trouble with a different location and this was all that I needed to do to pass the objective.

I wish the "center on the question mark" bit was included in the instructions in game.

I just launched the game and it loaded me in this spot and it completed before I even touched anything. I'm glad future quest seekers won't have to deal with this.
