Thanks for the tips from people on this forum. Sadly anything i have tried has not worked, just about every lure you can get and every method including jig heads. Didn't get him last time either. Are any people catching it? it just seems very quiet in this forum.

I have tried and tried every lure, jig, swim bait, spinner, spoon. popper, frog, twitching and jigging. I have tried every speed possible. Only thing I have not tried is Dynamite. I'm with you Leesy I can not catch this fish for the last 2 times. Something has changed. Some kind of bug preventing him from responding to our lures. Maybe a certain type or strength of line? It is something weird like that I bet. I am gonna try and swap out poles and line type to see because I have tried everything else for hours and hours and have not even seen him. Ridiculous!!

I did even go to the next reel down but that made no difference either.

Try one strength lighter line? That's my next try or the braided or colored line

Just a few more simple questions:
1. Do you use the Apex login?
2. Do you get the text notification that the Norway legendary fish is active when you first enter Norway?

Yes for multiplayer although i appear offline and don,t join multiplayer groups, and yes i get the notification, at least in golden ridge and pretty sure i did when i got the one in Norway.

You have to login into Apex connect for the legendary to work.

the area of sidewinder is just too big, you can catch him on lilipads or at +100 meters of them so it's difficult to catch him this week compare the last time.

it's just a question of to be lucky or not, i caught him after 3 hours on crankbait 3/0 speed 4

I started with my boat on the lilipads and worked my way towards the fork. It took me 8 hours to catch him. Caught him on Crank 3/0 speed 3 halfway between lilypads and the fork. Yeah this was hard work but aint that the meaning of going after a legendary fish ? ;-) GL on the catch

i've caught him 2wice once with #4 crankbait at 4 speed and once with 1/0 silver spoon at 4 speed
you're gonna need the heaviest pole with the heaviest line and don't go over 55% on your drag....be patient with him when he bites and tire him out

It took ages for me to catch Sidewinder this time too, Leesy. But he followed my crankbait up to the surface 5 times at the location specified! He only did this at speed 4. The Crankbait was the largest one, 3/0.

What I did finally to hook him was to come to a full stop reeling in when I saw him following. That allowed him to catch up and bite.

We were joking here that the speed-freak fish was getting slow, but that he still only went for fast lures.

Spoons didn't work, nor any of the plastic jerkbaits.

You should be seeing him chase though.

But Legendaries are reset tonight? Go at him next time he shows then.

Thanks Smagpie, i did miss out this time. He did follow my 3/0 crank bait to the boat then i never saw him again, like you said next time. Tight lines.
