Forget the using what is stated on the left side of screen that's even worst.
It just doesn't matter if these "animations" or let's call it "different angling styles" are beeing represented authentic in this game or if they even do feel good at all, because of such a very simple and repetitive scripted fish behavior.
Everything comes down to the bait: "Size" defines how small or big the fish and the "type" defines what exact species you catch. You cast, you catch. Nothing else to it.
And as long as that is the case there won't ever be an engaging angling experience no matter how many different styles the devs put into this game.
I'm not sure what you mean Emme. I understand you'd like the animations to be different and being able to twitch doing a 45 degree angle. But without using the right presentation in the game with the right lure, you won't be able to catch any fish.
Stop and go is already in the game.
That's how twitching should be done. Not this long 45 deg. angle strokes.
