I want to check if the mission is working properly

I can't catch the Gold Rank Green Sunfish in the mission "Ruby River Range Fishing Challenge Gold 1".
I was able to catch about 100 silver-ranked fish, but I couldn't catch any gold-ranked fish, so I thought it might be a bug.
So I would like to know your situation. Has anyone caught a Gold Rank Green Sunfish in this mission?

I didn't catch one for the mission, but I did catch a gold green sunfish on Heart Island. Even gold they're really small. Mine weighed 0.48 grams if I recall correctly.

I'm having the exact same problem. Been trying for hours, tons and tons of silver ranks but not a single gold rank.

I was able to get it. it just took awhile. I used bloodworm and I'm sorry but don't remember what size hook but it might've been an 8 or 9 and was finally able to get it. Lots of silver and bronze before getting lucky and getting a gold.

Even if it's not a bug, the difficulty is unreasonable. I met someone in the game who said he's been trying for 15+ hours. I've been trying at least 7 hours myself.

there is a post on the discord bug channel about this. I have only heard of 2 people getting a gold there but have not seen proof yet lol. Anyway if your a discord member jump in there and leave a comment on the thread about this.

If it is not for the quest on the exact spot it does not help at all. 🤷‍♂️

If you have a mission active thr mission spot changes for the quest.

I would like some comments from the developers on this.
I've already caught over 150 silvers and not even a single gold among them. I'm tired of it now, but if the current state is not a bug, and it's a feature that makes it difficult to catch, I'll continue fishing. If the developers say so.

I am stuck at same quest. Have been catching tons of silvers for hours and gotten several gold perchs but no gold green fish.

They look into it.

Since then nothing, except people wrinting that they caught it but still no actual prroof.
They don't even know the accept gear they used....
