I've been using a 1/0 spoon for salmon, and catching one on almost every try in Laksevær between 7-17 kg (15.5 - 37.5 lbs). Think I'm going to use the biggest spoon I can get (4/0 ?) and see what that hooks me. In RL the biggest salmon caught with a rod was somewhere in the north of Norway at 35 kg (77.2 lbs) or thereabouts, methinks.

with 4/0 you'll catch the diamond if you are at the good location^^
(mine was at 27.95 kg so take a good setup)

And as we know, salmon is the wildest fish yet in The Angler, with a 5 kg salmon feeling like a 10 kg pike, so brother, a 27-> kg salmon?
