Need help with lure quest

I am stuck on "Find The Lure" mission from the Norway Reserve dlc. I have found the "Floyte" lure and now its asking me to use the rod, reel, and lure all together to catch a fish. I've tried just about everywhere to try to catch a fish with the setup. No luck.

Anyone have any luck completing this mission? looking for suggestions on where to fish...

Well, Fløyte is a Swimbait if I recall correctly, and Pike go for those. Find a water body where those swim, preferrably a lake where they are mentioned first in the description. There are a few maps with the water bodies mapped out for you in the guides section, if you haven't gotten all of them yourself yet.

Fløyte is a size 1(?) swimbait, so it's gonna be a sizable fish, might take a while. Stick with it.

Flöyte is a swimbait with hook 1 so you need a bigger fish so i would go for european pike.

I completet it before last patch and caught Gold pike, Gold Asp and Bronze and silver Atlantic Salmon (which i think dont work anymore).

I cant seem to get a pike to go after the bait. Is it bugged? talk about a fish nicknamed "fish of 1000 casts" this game might be too realistic....

I had the same issue, was answered in another post, try the Eastern side of the central lake, I got a pretty much instant catch there

Northern pike, speed at 4, constant, lake shore, during the day, in lake gandasjøen. Northern pike like lake shore fishing, but I did it in a boat. Caught a 17.17lb
