where is big fish?

I can't catch gold or diamond fish any size lure or hook. only silver or bronze. I waste my time and time and time

I have the same problems. I'm targetting lake trout. I'm now trying with spoon nr 6 to catch something. But that is small stuff
Larger spoons dont give fish for me at the moment

Kinda same here, wait a gold bream for more than 20+ hrs, still not a sign of it.

The funniest thing is a dev calls they release the patch a week ago, many player caught the diamonds, and ignores every outliers like us.

See my thread. It took me ~40 fish to catch gold bass. According to a guy in thread, it can take about 100 or more if you are not lucky enough. BTW i caught on small hook spinner.

if you use too little lure it's normal that take lot of time to take diamond/gold on the missions in middle of the others fishes.
You have to use the good size lure/bait to target them and no waste your time with little fishes.

out of the missions you have to be lucky to catch diamonds with the wrong size and it's normal to take time to know the right lure/bait and the location.

on Norway map i only discover 8 different species diamonds/14 species. and it took me lot of time to find some fish.

So if you find only silver or bronze fish on a specie, you have to change your size of lure/hook to target the biggest but if you want big fishes = less fishes too^^

Well, you are totally right, but I am the guy he said, in a diamond mission, I use the right gear to fish it, and I fish 112 Gold before I get the diamond one, so it is based on luck, even with the proper gear sets.

Ok, i see. I got Pike on a size 2 spinnerbait (up to around 2 kg). That's about it (but probably because i wandered too far from the quest location). On the quest place i tried some casts with large hooks but got nothing. Likely for the reasons you mention.
