Does the Kokanee bite on anything ???

I tested all baites, but no success, just rainbowes where biting. Although I can see them swimming around. Do you know wht is the best bait to get them ?

On some lakes it doesn't work, I'm talking about the lake of the challenge to catch the diamond rank kokani (Emerald lake plateau 3 photo challenge), on this lake with the spinner number 5 I only do golds. The other lures give me nothing.
I exposed this problem to a Dev because I made up to 70 gold kokanis and no diamonds: The Dev replied that Monday his team will check everything.

I am sorry.......no reaction. Only a rainbow (again)..

@Ayin I think what you're referring to is when your experience bar reaches another one of the 4 tiers on it. You receive some credits as a reward, about 400 something gold usually. Correct me if I misunderstood what you meant.

If you're doing a quest about catching a diamond, they'll pump out gold everywhere with a few rare diamonds in there. You just gotta keep fishing until you catch the diamond. Yes, you are going to catch gold every time until you find the diamond. Quests are easily my least favorite aspect of the game, I feel like they are just handling out diamonds. I'd rather just fish the regular way. Once you catch the diamond the area you're in will go back to its regular state, as in no more gold on every cast. Correct me if I misunderstood what you meant.

No you understood, but it's not normal I'm at about 80 gold fish and not the slightest diamond. WEIRD

It happens. It's the way the game is designed. Imo those quests are easily one of the things I dislike the most about the game. I remember watching a whole movie while fishing for the diamond mountain whitefish at lake bear. Gold on every cast. I finally caught the diamond near the end of the movie.

Well... The fact is the fish are not biting at anything close to the rate they did.
I spent 30 min in the game yesterday fishing a lake with a verity of lures/lure sizes- and not a single bite. There is also no way to know what fish are there unless they jump in front of you.

Some players just want to go out there and catch fish not spend hours researching tactics on discord and reading guides this is not microsoft flight simulator😊
It is meant to be a fun well designed fishing game, and until this patch it was exactly that.
Now because of the lure change its not.

Can you perhaps make it into an option you can turn off in the game menu/options?
All the other changes in the patch very much welcome btw :)

A decent amount of time is absolute acceptable to me. Also to spend time to look for the right place and bait. And all other fishes are not a big problem.
But in this special case (I saw the Kokanees swimming/springing around) I had no success. I tried it for several hours (also at the above mentioned places) and with all the mentioned baits and with different rod setups. Everything I got where rainbows. Not even by accident a Kokanee. That's what I am curious about.

Hi Portwillis, The levelling up (character levelling) can garner me almost double that amount, from memory, but I will keep this in mind for the future and record the levelling credit amount, just to be sure. This is a notification as soon as I catch whatever the "target" fish is for that region/lake or pond and seems unrelated to any levelling up. That's why I tested this with no quests enabled (all my fishing ones in Trollsporet are done anyway), no daily challenges, and clear of weekly challenges; just to get a better idea on what was going on. If I level up mid fishing session for the usual reasons, the credits are much more than 423 for me, but I wasn't taking much notice earlier on in my games so not sure how much each level up is given. I'm about level 204 now. It would be interesting to see what you get each time you level up.

Challenges are separate to leveling, they give extra XPs. and credits. Normal credits are in four payments (per 4 sections in XP bar) as you level up and the challenges assist in that.

Challenges yes, are separate. Also result in different exp and credit amounts, depending on what you choose. Higher rewards for harder challenges. So perhaps what I'm seeing are one of the four payments as I level on up through the XP bar?

Hey there, you earn 423 for each tier of the bar, and 844 once you level up regardless of the level.
Btw, you're level 204? I'm 175. Looks like we're addicted. XD
