CCC: Constructive Criticism Compilation
Disclosure: I for one enjoy the game but acknowledge all of the criticisms levied at the game.

I do want the game to be as enjoyable as can be for all of you. List your critiques and complaints or bugs here.

I'd prefer if people actually post legitimate complaints and not just "this game sucks" lol

Fix day night cycle in multiplayer

Make playing with friends easier

Add voice chat in multiplayer

Better explain how pretty much everything works in game from rods, reels and hooks, to bait, lures and fish behaviours

Fix how drag works in reels

Make fish move at more realistic speeds to can be caught on faster reel speeds.

Add ability to rebind all controlls

Add names of locations to map

Improve jeep handling

Fix payout and xp not registering from caught fish

Add option to remove strike display

That's all I've got from the top of my head.

Scale the credits better, I feel like I got the higher quality rods rather fast. But the game did just launch so spawn rates and credit rates need to be assest.

Make sure people are ACTUALLY catching fish in these challenges in the bodies of water given to them. Thats part of the challenge.

I believe I've had instances where I found the body of water, then went to a different one and caught the fish there to get completion. So once the requirements are met, show a radius or area needed to fish in to complete the required challenge.

Need to make a change
1. The game is too plotted with tasks, which is negatively postponed on the open world, except that in the future to introduce a market with orders for fish, if the principle of catch release does not continue.

2.There is no choice of the moment of slashing, unrealistic sound and notification with the inscription STRIKE - this should be removed first of all, the sooner the better.

3. Fish search and generation, made very superficial from the word surface, very often you have to look for fish on the surface and throw bait into its mouth, the search method of casting is ineffective, the fish feels very bad and is generated in potential fish places. The fish must be generated on the bottom and the fisherman must see on the surface 20 percent of all the fish. You need to change the sooner the better the way to notify the fisherman about when the fish does not jump out of the water and swim on the surface, how is the angler supposed to guess about its presence? Correctly the fish needs to be distributed in the places of its habitat in real life, and generate it from the bottom or if it is a perch or pike grass from under water lilies and grass, it turns out really not fishing but a comic book of some kind you wait until the fish appears, you see how it swims to the hook, and then the inscription is cut, I am from Europe from Ukraine, even on spinning when you catch very rarely you see that the fish is chasing the bait, usually you already see the fish at the time of hitting the bait, if we talk about spinning, on the float or feeder, carp, we do not see the fish at all! THIS MUST BE CORRECTED!

4.There should be 4 fish patterns respectively to 4 ranks of fish and visually different.

5.The lack of a normal network mode, an open world without a global network mode with global statistics of caught fish by region and global records, which are also absent in the game, there is just a co-op game, and it is almost impossible to choose a map where your friends will be, even if you click to join a friend, you are thrown on a map where there is none, play cooop with others, there's no point, there's no purpose to it.

6.There is a change of time of day morning day evening night, but there is no timer (clock in the interface) for a clear understanding of the time. There is no information on how long the game day lasts, the nights are buggy and go for a very long time.

7.The game had to be server-client, where the user would constantly need access to the Internet and there should be no independent calculations on the client side - this is a direct path to fraud, for the offline mode it was necessary to leave plot tasks that would not intersect with the network mode. If the bite is on the client side, this is a direct path to deception, it can be a fatal mistake.

8.The behavior of large fish when it is hooked does not seem realistic, there are no abrupt changes in direction, the fish visually do not go long distances from the fisherman.

9. Identical spools at the coils, too small unwinding of the fishing line.

10.You can not see the change of weather, it has never rained, there is no wind.

11.No display of time, weather, temperature.

12.The sounds of the rod when dropping fish resemble the sound of rubber, the sounds of winding the fishing line require adjustment, the sound of friction sounds like Chinese and does not resemble high-quality reels of famous brands.

TROPHY need the word TROPHY don't make up nonsense.

27.The fish at the last moment of landing should not fly out of the water, switch to a black screen, and wholesale the scene of the fisherman with the fish in his hands-add maybe throw it away forever, turn off this terrible scene, add perhaps that the fisherman picked up the hook and after that the fish without the fisherman with all the information about the capture and about the fish was shown on the full screen with all the information about the capture and about the fish! I’m going to list some short-term improvements that can vastly improve immersion, and they mostly have to do with sound save one.

Removal of, or the option to mute, the following: both the wood creaking and whiplash sound effects that play from strike to hookset, and that sound of strained sail lines, which I don’t remember when they go off, but at some point, during or after the former.

Another is the coin chime that’s reminiscent of Animal Crossing’s fish nibbles, though for me it’s subtle enough not to bother, the option to mute it can be an improvement for others.

Then there’s the hookset, which is also a major problem in the recently released UFS2, and it’s exactly for the same reasons here, which I will repeat: it feels disconnected, delayed even, especially when the rod automatically lowers, taking control away from the player.

The succession of all these is so immersion breaking, that they seem out of place, unnecessary in an otherwise immersive soundscape. From the subtle sounds of fishline leaving your bail or being reeled, to the wake lapping the bottom of your boat, and the distant fall booming, it can vastly improve with the jarring effects remedied by an option (on/off), or just their outright removal.

I hope the developers take these, and the other suggestions, into serious consideration. If so, thank you, because your game has great potential.

I like the "Strike!" thing! They should keep it in my opinion. It's almost addicting to wait for that message to pop up.

You cannot move when you have ejected the swimmer.
the swimmer does not move even if you pull the line
there is no (visible?) stream/flow
accordingly a boat does not drift... not a bit... even on a lake this can happen
The swimmer itself should MOVE realistically ! not only the water around it.
etc etc etc

if you stand on the car and throw out the fishing rod, you glitch into the car.

Is it a E Jeep ? There is no motorsound

Devs go fishing ! Apparently you have NEVER been. A fishing game should be at least approximately like real fishing and not TOO casual.

PS : Release = Game finished... not Oh let's see what people say but charge full price already !

Here my list;

1- topwater actually floating
2- crankbaits with set dive depth
3- trolling on boat and throttle setup on said boat
4- right click should raise the rod when reeling
5- floats and lures should go with the current from streams
6- gear to be able to carry more lures/ storage on boat/ livewell cause you SHOULD BE ABLE to keep some fish in a fishing game, you know...
7- reeling speed and animation is way off (no way in hell when I reel at full speed the line comes in at about 10cm/seconds, when I reel at a normal pace, my reel takes about 2 feet of line per second.
8- fish need to move faster, especially when following a lure.

there is many many more things but these are the most important for me.

I'll add, should've made that as a DLC in COTW as asked multiple times by the community instead of this sorta ultra-acrady fishing sim.
