Mountain Whitefish?

So I have this mission to catch a Mountain Whitefish. I'm at the location the quest is asking me to be. It is also night. I tried with Bread, Pearl Barley, Eggs. No luck.

I'm aware that these fish are bottom feeders, so I make sure the distance between bobber and bait are the widest possible.

Anyone got tipps?

I just used a little spinner bait casting from the dock.

I haven't done that quest yet, but I caught several Mountain Whitefish in the evening with red worm bait.

Got both for the mission! You have just to be patient and use the right gear (hook size 10 is mandatory i believe!)

if its diamond u r looking for at fisherman's camp, try using 8hook spinerbait u got it at lvl1 cast by side of rock or float fish around rock in water, he sitts there n also in lillys
