Salt Water?
Is there a chance of having salt water maps? I grew up fishing the ocean and would love to catch my favorites like King mackerel, Flounder, Redfish and Red snapper.

They haven't confirmed anything yet regarding other maps, but I'm almost positive it will come out as a DLC after release (between 6 months to a year if it follows the same release schedule as theHunter).

Theres a chance of anything. I dont think the dev team even know the answer to this question yet. Wont be for a while anyway. A nice seaside town would make a good salt water map.

Not a deep sea fisherman but I have been looking for a salt water bay fishing game where I can catch red drum and other spices in a bay system like along the Gulf of Mexico. Never seen such a thing and probably never will.

Suggested over 2 years ago (first hit on a "salt water" search). What are the thoughts. I have checked the website, tried to find some type of road map but can't find anything on this.

I was think if anything Florida would be a great place to do this, with the Mangrove and coasts/Islands. I would love to try for Marlin, Dolphin, Mackerel etc...

In the first case i was happy that they released norway as first dlc. In the second case i was disappointed that it wasn´t salt water fishing :sadelf:

I'd like to see saltwater too, maybe a map where it's a tidal area that goes from land to sea. Don't forget these devs like you to explore an open world and you can't do that with just an ocean map, so that is not realistic.

Brackish area most likely if anything imo.
