Rather have different weather patterns than static clouds and a little bit of rain.
most Feedback was that it is annoying loging in a server and day turns into night in between 1 minute because host plays at night.
So we need to have possibility to choose night or day when logging in.
I'm not sure about let the player choose the time because it's an open world. But at least, make some balances.
For real though, it seems to be something where we can't please everybody as this change was due to an overwhelming amount of player feedback telling us nights were too long. Perhaps bringing nights to a 45min length could be a solution or just reducing day time a bit on its own. I'll raise it up to the dev team so they're aware - thanks for the feedback!
I think the best solution would be to be able advance time. Like with the hunter.
The day is too long (3h30 IRL ?) May be you could make 45mns days, 45 mns night.
We’re still exploring different options to fine tune the day/night cycle in the game. Reducing night time was the first and quickest action implemented to address the high number of reports that night was too long and that most players enjoyed daytime more than nighttime. Implementing sleeping mechanics requires more development time and resources, but it’s in our Community Tracker and its feasibility is being reviewed by the team!
I understand but before a sleeping mechanics, may be just tweak the cycle day/night to make them playable by all.
Why? Are you not using the same engine as for "The Hunter"? At least i get the same "Monitor resetting bug" as in "The Hunter, when I start "TheaAngler"
The sleeping mechanic exists in TheHunter. If it is the same engine, it shouldn't be that hard to copy the core mechanics and ude it in "theAngler.
When I play alone, it shouldn't be aproblem to "sleep" and set the time. Your developer tool, that you forgot to delete from the release version has an option to change the time.
For multiplayer I would suggest that you get a poll, where more than 50% of the players have to agree to change the time, oder the host of the lobby can change it, if he wants.
It's weird that I can reset the day by restarting the game, but I have to wait at least 2 hrs to be able to fish during the morning. Ok, it does not make any difference, because all fish bit all the time, but ...
Wbr, shnoopx
Edit: And PLEASE a clock to the game and tell me what time it is....
