So if i own a quest 2 and i have the quest link cable. Then i can play Steam games?
Oohh.. Then i can only play in my home, where my pc is located? But the quest version, that's installed on the quest itself, a complete stand alone? Is that the difference?
aah, i never thought about it, but it does makes sense.
There is this survival game which had a similar thing going on. The quest 2 had a different version then the Steam version. But those 2 versions of the game were actually different and made by different teams. Sharing the same name and similar story, but the game mechanics and the environment were not the same at all.
That's not the case with this game is it?
the official quest store are mostly more high priced , and you mostly never see discount , so i really prefer pay it on steam , and play it with my pc in airlink mode ( no cable , just wifi ) .
Also the stand alone quest game are less detailled , it's more graphics limited ..... it's not horrible , but i think walkabout is a beautifull games on pc version :-) but ofcourse if you pay it on the official store, you can play the 2 version , standalone or with a pc
Feel free to ignore below, i just want to complain ;) I need to complain from time to time, it's good for my soul. hehe
[Ramble mode on]
I don't like it when companies force you to do things in a certain way. Bought my Rift S, when the Quest 1/2 still required you to have a social media account. I am happy that they reverted that. who knows?, maybe i might have gotten myself a quest instead. Although i am very happy with the rift S. Just wished it was more supported. For example, if i break my controller, can i buy a spare controller somewhere? Haven't found it yet.
Also don't like it when there is a already a good game library around, it works well (steam) and still various companies force you to do things their way. How many game-libraries-apps do we have? Steam, Origin... uuu.. uhm.. i think i have 2 or 3 more. but can't remember, because of some company who made a great game, but refused to work together with steam.. I just find it annoying.
What's next? Another program you should install, so that program can connect to all those different game libraries we all have, so that we, the end-user finally just have 1 game library where you can find all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games you have bought in your lifetime. Pff.. hehe
just like netflix and uu.. amazon and whatever else we have.. Wanna watch a movie or a serie? Oh Sorry, can't watch that one. it's the other subscription ofcourse.. 🤦♂️
