Simultaneous Multiplayer

Currently with many players playing online together, taking turns can take a while and/or become boring. Are there any plans for simultaneous multiplayer so that everyone can take their turn at the same time?

Ever been to a real miniature golf course with several people? There you also play one after the other and not at the same time. Conviviality is the key word.

While I can understand that perspective, it is a bit different waiting for your turn in VR as compared to real-life. In VR, it can often seem quite a bit more dull to wait around, or at least it is for me.

Then just play alone and then simply exchange the final result (screenshot) with others. That would then come out the same.

I'm gonna assume you own the game since you're here.
Why play it at all since you just want a pure minigolf experience. Go out or build your own in a garden. No reason to belittle people wanting a faster pace VR Game.
There are considerably less things to do while in VR and many people will get bored. Drinking while playing is a lot less convenient. You basically cant do anything else outside of looking for golf balls which you find in a few minutes. Your hands are strapped to controllers which you cannot use for much else inside the game. You cannot do anything outside of VR while waiting as well since you'll lose your communication during that period.
Maybe if there was a past time like a TV connected to web/youtube which you could watch/listen to while playing. But there is not.

People with cordless VR setups also have limited battery life. I have had friends dropped mid session because their battery died.
Next thing you're obviously disregarding are people that cannot play lengthy VR sessions either due to eye problems or other health issues.
This is not real life, neither should it be regarded as such. You just sound petty and elitist. How would that feature hurt you? It would most likely be a toggle which you would never have to use.

Nevertheless, developers did mention this is in the works. It was supposed to be dropped with mp player increase but got delayed.

I have not belittled anyone. I myself am one of those people who cannot play a longer VR session for health reasons.

But that doesn't change my opinion and the pointlessness of such a feature.

But who needs something like that...O.K. Do not condemn anyone because of that. Everyone as he likes.

Any update on this? I have a large group of friends that I regularly play this with and we are consistently having trouble with our batteries dying. Ideally if there was a setting that would just allow 2 people to play simultaneously if the ball positions are a good distance away from each other (in order to minimize distraction).

Yeahh, is this a thing now?
More people playing VR online now, with 2 or 3 this is still bearable, but if we are more people then it gets quite lengthy to wait for everyone.

I can't say personally because I don't have enough room to play anymore, but I asked my buddies and it seems to be available in the game.

I checked on Quest now out of curiosity, when you select a map, go to modes > simultaneous. Should be the same on steam since my buddies play on steam.
