I'm not sure what 'local multiplayer' means.... but this game supports cross-buy and cross-multiplayer (oculus version). Even you can play multi with single account. If you have several oculus headset (quest or rift), all devices need only single account to play altogether (just set different in-game player's name for each device).

I assume he means multiplayer using one headset. As in a player plays a hole and then passes the headset to another player so that they can do the same. It is quite odd and very annoying that this option is not included in the game.

You can play in practice mode and do this, and just keep score manually.

On their website they say that local multiplayer is in the works and to be released soon.

This needs to happen.

Hey guys!

Yeah. It's in the future update, as kebo has mentioned. Meanwhile, this is still playable via practice but with less features. We will definitely bring more good stuff in the future.

Did local multiplayer get added to the PC version?

Hello.

There is no local play for both platforms right now but I would recommend a private room to be made instead.

Was local multiplayer abandoned or is this still in the works for either steam version or oculus version? I was going to buy this over the weekend but saw there was no local multiplayer and that is a deal breaker for me.

I'm just thinking about the implementation of it. Don't think it's hard for the devs to make. It just sucks that you have to take on/off the headset all the time. And when do you want that to happen? After every shot? After putting the ball? After 9/18 games/holes/mini-tracks?/midget-tracks?

Besides, except for keeping track of the scores. Which is nice and 'handy' i suppose, but you could always keep track of the scores yourself. Since one of you is playing, the other keeps track. Write it down on a piece of paper or make a make-shift scoreboard. Solved ;)

Anyway, what AnnaDei said, just in more words.

By local multiplayer, people are asking for physical handoff multiplayer, right? Like invite your friends over, and you need to hand off the headset from one player to the next for each turn.

Yes.

A method perhaps is:
Round1: Player 1 plays even holes, player 2 plays the odds.
Note down total for player 1 and total for player 2.
Round2: Player 2 plays evens, player 1 plays odds.
Again note down the totals and then combine both player 1 totals and player 2 totals for the final tally.

Not ideal but workable.
