How do I join a sect and how to get big dipper formation from wang haifeng?

First: How do I join a sect especially deercave academy? My current progress is that I have to go to the beggars contest now in Act 2(street hero act)

Second: wang haifeng is not giving me the big dipper formation manual. How do I get that?
