Question About Kung Fu Proficiency

Does kung fu proficiency only boost your kung fu exp rate when using the kung fu or is it in general and also boosts my equipped manual?

Proficiency may not boost exp rate and only help level up the Kung fu you are actively using.

For example, Toe Stomp without manual will level up as long as you keep using Toe Stomp, but it does take a long time. But with Proficiency Equipment, using Toe Stomp 10+ times will level up the skill very fast.

Unlike Exp rate, where you can use any skills and the exp will increase for the equip manual, you have to actively use the skill to get any benefit from Proficiency.

So essentially, it would be most efficient using both proficiency + the manual + using the skill of the manual to get the utmost EXP?

Yes, the combination you mentioned help a lot in finish leveling the lv 24 manual, as the proficiency level up does not use the exp gained and carry the exp over to the next level.
If you level up with proficiency, you can then use the carry over exp to level up again.
