Act 1 - the grass to the east of Chengdu
Act 2 - the purple grass to the northeast of Xiaoguan
An amazing AOE ability that I recommend for farming is "Feather Robe Arcana".
It only requires evil roots and male character, so there's no skill level requirements which means it can be used on any build you play. 4x4 range and it has mana drain so you never run out of mana using it. You get the skills really early in the main story too. I use it on all my ng+ characters.
The easiest way is to get an NPC with higher Qimen to join you (and then put the items below on them):
Sword Savant Summer from the Waterway of Taihu Lake,
Dawg Bao in Lin'an.
Ancient Jade + 30 Qimen - during Li Boy's quest in the first town you can say you already found his treasure to get him to reveal where it is.
The Rosy Glow Manner has a fan you can steal with sufficient skill that raises your Qimen by 20 once you've improved it (requires 100 finger though).
Divination Robes raises Qimen by 50 but I forget where you grab it. Pairing the Divination Robe, Ancient Jade and Painted Seven Star Sword gives you set bonus of 50 for a total of 130 from gear alone.
I don't claim to have all kung fus as I have not yet joined a Sect nor did I start the game with theft but here is a brief overview of all the Qimen raising skills I have:
1 hidden weapon,
1 swords,
2 formations (that require skill in swords),
4 inner kungfus (3 of which require the Taoist root),
1 speed,
1 melody,
1 special,
1 wine art (with a finger requirement),
1 saber,
Being a Taoist Root swordsman is the easiest way to raise Qimen on yourself.
