But did you perhaps start playing, using an old savegame from a previous version? (Because his will always cause bugs; for when code changes at an update-your savegame doesn't know that.)
If this is the case, please start the game using the chapter select screen instead of old save games.

Perhaps you also use an old savegame after there had been a game-update? If so, then that's the issue. You can't reuse savegames, because they are local files that don't get updated when the game changes.
The fix is to go back to the chapter select screen and start over from the doctors story. (it will only set you back 5 minutes probably). And then you can continue as usual :)
