Visually it is a definite step-up from alternative: characters are more animated, tsfs flying around more smoothly. It looks very good. Character writing is the same Age thing.
But yeah, UI is pretty rough, and functions a little bit clunky, and makes you feel like you are reading it on a tablet. Has good features like fitting image resolution to screen resolution so you can read it without black bars on the sides, but the rest is mediocre.
I would recommend reading through this for the general outline on the story before making your decision: https://twinfinite.net/2021/02/muv-luv-unlimited-the-day-after-review/
Well, unless you are 100% sure you are ready to spend that much money on it then I would suggest waiting for a while and deciding later, no need to hurry.
Maybe Anchor should offer a better product then.

No. They've spat the entire fanbase in the face. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgrace and a stab in the back.
